What is Techtamu and what is the main focus of this community?

Techtamu is a technology event organization platform in Malaysia. We focus on connecting developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts through monthly meetups, knowledge-sharing sessions with industry experts, and community networking. Majulah pembangun teknologi Malaysia!

Who can join Techtamu events?

Everyone is welcome. Whether you are a student, software developer, UI/UX designer, startup entrepreneur, or a member of the public newly interested in the tech world, our events are designed for all skill levels.

What are the achievements and scale of Techtamu events so far?

Since its inception in 2025, Techtamu has organized over 20 events, attracted more than 1,400 participants, and collaborated with over 50 speakers and 30 partners from government agencies and the private sector.

What types of events or topics are frequently discussed?

Our events primarily feature monthly meetups and knowledge-sharing sessions centered around technology in general. We cover a wide range of topics including web development, UI/UX, artificial intelligence (AI), digital marketing, and the latest developments in the local tech ecosystem.

Where and how often are Techtamu events held?

We organize monthly meetups primarily in the Klang Valley, although we are not strictly limited to Cyberjaya. In addition to our regular events in the valley, we are actively expanding our reach to host meetups nationwide across all other states in Malaysia.

Are Techtamu event tickets paid?

It depends on the scale and type of the event. Most of our monthly meetups are free or charge a minimal registration fee (such as RM15) to cover logistics and light refreshments. However, specialized events categorized by industry, university collaborations, or events hosted in other states will have a separate registration structure.

How can I become a speaker, partner, or sponsor?

We are always open to meaningful collaborations. You can reach out to us via our official email to discuss opportunities to become a speaker, strategic partner, or sponsor for our upcoming events.

What is the standard speaking format and logistics for Techtamu events?

For our standard monthly meetups, we typically feature 3 to 4 speakers with talks centered around technology in general. Each speaking slot is 40 minutes, which can extend up to an hour, followed by a 5 to 10-minute Q&A session. While this is our standard meetup format, other special events may adopt different structures, such as panel discussions or forum styles. Regarding logistics, speakers must confirm their talk titles a week before the event for promotional purposes. We generally request the presentation slides in advance to preload them onto our event laptop for seamless transitions, though speakers are occasionally permitted to use their own laptops.
